The Glenn Miller Band - Honors Us Troops (Album)


Glenn Miller was an American bandleader, trombonist, composer and arranger, who left his mark on jazz during the swing era. His band entertained US troops in Europe during the war. The Glenn Miller Orchestra is renowned for developing a unique musical style and sound that made him famous. Woody Allen has used his music in several of his films - "Radio Days" and "the Curse of the Jade Scorpion" to name but two. Glenn Miller's most famous recordings include In the Mood, Moonlight Serenade, Pennsylvania 6-5000, Chattanooga Choo Choo, A String of Pearls, At Last, Kalamazoo, American Patrol, Tuxedo Junction and Little Brown Jug.
